Release Date, New Trailer and New Key Visual: A Couple of Cuckoos Second Season

The wait is over! Anime fans of "A Couple of Cuckoos" (Kakkō no Iinazuke) can celebrate because the second season is about to arrive. It has been confirmed that it will premiere on July 8, 2025, and along with this exciting news, a stunning new trailer and a key visual have also been revealed, hinting at what awaits us.

The renowned studio Okuruto Noboru, known for its work on other successful animated productions, is responsible for the animation of this season. Masakazu Hishida directs the anime and Jo Aoba is in charge of series composition.

The opening theme "Kimi ga Kureta Mono” (“What You Gave Me”) will be performed by talented artist asmi, who previously contributed to the opening of “Food for the Soul.”

"A Couple of Cuckoos" revolves around Nagi Umino, a diligent high school student, and Erika Amano, a bold and outspoken girl who find themselves unexpectedly bound together due to a shocking revelation: they were swapped at birth. Miki Yoshikawa’s manga series was first published as a one-shot in September 2019 before being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, quickly gaining a dedicated following.
