The story began gaining popularity on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2021, and Kadokawa has so far published three print volumes, with a fourth on the way. Additionally, a manga adaptation illustrated by Komo Ushino has been serialized in Flos Comic since December 2022. The fifth volume of the manga will arrive on September 17.

What is Tefuda ga Ōme no Bikutoria About?

The story follows a character named Chloe, a highly skilled covert operative and spy for the kingdom of Hagl. After she discovers that her boss has betrayed her, she fakes her own death to escape her past life.

Assuming a new identity as a woman named Victoria, she flees to a neighboring kingdom, hoping to finally live a peaceful, "normal" life. However, her plans are quickly derailed when she takes in an abandoned young girl named Nonna.

While she tries to live as a civilian, Victoria finds that her skills as a spy—including her mastery of disguise and martial arts—are surprisingly useful in her new life. Her extraordinary abilities attract attention from various people, including a knight captain and even the royal family, all while her former employer remains suspicious that she might still be alive. The series blends elements of fantasy, romance, and a bit of comedy, focusing on a "found family" trope as Victoria tries to build a new, fulfilling life while avoiding her dangerous past.

Release Date and Where to Watch

While a concrete release date hasn't been announced yet, the anime is expected to arrive in 2025. It's rumored that Frontier Works will be seeking agreements with international streaming platforms for global distribution, so keep an eye out for news!
