Hana-Kimi Anime Reveals New Cast and Creative Team, Crunchyroll to Stream It!
Introduction to the Animated Adaptation of "Hana-Kimi"
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of "Hana-Kimi" (officially “Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e”), based on the popular shōjo manga by the late Hisaya Nakajo, has revealed its new voice cast and creative team. This news follows a world premiere of Episode 1 at Anime NYC last Saturday.
"Hana-Kimi" tells the story of Mizuki Ashiya, an American track-and-field star who transfers to a boys' high school in Japan to be near her idol, Izumi Sano. To do so, she must disguise herself as a man, which leads to a complicated situation. The original manga, published from 1996 to 2004, has already been adapted into live-action series in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, which solidified its international popularity.
A Star-Studded Voice Cast and Creative Team
The anime will feature a cast of renowned voice actors, including Yūichirō Umehara as Minami Nanba, Jun Fukuyama in the role of Hokuto Umeda, Reiji Kawashima as Senri Nakao, and Koki Uchiyama bringing Taiki Kayashima to life. Other members of the cast include Wataru Komada, Anan Furuya, Kotaro Nishiyama, and Yuko Natsuyoshi.
Natsuki Takemura is directing the anime at Signal.MD, with Shigeru Ueda as assistant director. The script is written by Takako Yoshioka, Shi Yi Su is the character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama is in charge of the music. Jin Aketagawa is leading the sound direction.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime live as it airs in Japan, making it available for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.
