Is This Slow-Burn Tea Manga Worth the Frustration?

Let me start by saying that the art in this manga is absolutely gorgeous. I decided to check it out because it was popping up everywhere, and I was in the mood for a more mature narrative.

However, despite the beautiful visuals, the characters are frustratingly immature at times—especially the main protagonists, which is a bit of a deal-breaker for me. The male lead is incredibly grumpy and the female lead is so eccentric that it makes sense why they're drawn to each other, but I still wish they would communicate more effectively and have a healthier relationship. On that note, this is a slow-burn romance, so if you don't have patience, this might not be the manga for you.

Despite my frustrations, I'm going to keep reading it for two main reasons: the gorgeous art and the fascinating historical details about tea. If I'm not mistaken, the mangaka even consulted with real tea masters, which makes the information extra informative and engaging. I'm holding out hope that the characters will eventually learn to communicate like the adults they are supposed to be. If you're a tea lover, you're going to absolutely enjoy this one because there is so much to learn.

p.s.: also this website should include something to clarify on which chapter we are on after we leave the review, because opinions might change the more I progress, lmao.
