The highly anticipated anime adaptation of "Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out for Revenge on My Former Party Members," based on the popular light novel series by Shisui Meikyou and tef, has finally revealed its premiere date: October 3rd! This news was accompanied by a new key visual, the announcement of an expanded cast, and details about the creative team behind this promising project. The story, which combines elements of fantasy, gacha, and revenge, promises to be an exciting experience for fans of the isekai genre with a dark and humorous twist.

The Plot: From Betrayal to Overlord

The story follows Light, who, after being betrayed by his former companions and expelled from the Concord of the Tribes, is thrown into the Abyss—one of the most dangerous dungeons in the kingdom. To survive and avoid becoming food for carnivorous monsters, he uses his only magical ability: the Unlimited Gacha. Unexpectedly, this time it produces something much more valuable than junk: Mei, a beautiful level 9999 warrior in a maid outfit. Three years later, Light has established his own kingdom in this secluded dungeon and has summoned other beautiful, loyal level 9999 warriors. Now, as a powerful level 9999 Overlord, Light plans to ascend to the surface and exact his revenge on his betrayers one by one.
