What is Isekai Metaller?

Isekai Metaller is a new manga that has generated a lot of excitement among both metal and isekai fans. Created by Ryo Kasuga, the manga tells the story of Yamada, a heavy metal guitarist who goes by the stage name Aleki. Nearing the age of thirty, he and his band, Level 99, are about to break up when he is transported to a fantasy world filled with dragons, werewolves, and other monsters. Instead of being defeated by his new reality, Aleki embraces the opportunity to use his musical talent to fight monsters in a new world where his skill is a rare and powerful force.

More than just a standard isekai story, Isekai Metaller is a love letter to heavy metal music. The manga is packed with references and inside jokes for die-hard fans, including nods to iconic artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai, and Rob Halford. Even Aleki's band logo, "Level 99," is a visual tribute to Metallica's iconic logo.

After its initial release in Japan in March 2024, Isekai Metaller is now coming to the Western market thanks to Titan Manga. The first volume is set to be released on October 14, 2025, with the second volume following on December 30, 2025.
