The much-anticipated anime "Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!" (Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai!) will premiere on October 5th in Japan, promising a lighthearted and entertaining comedy. Based on Nanateru’s popular manga, this adaptation has generated significant excitement due to its unique premise and talented production team. The story follows Alma, a high-performance weapon with the appearance of a young girl, and the two brilliant scientists who created her, Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane. The anime focuses on their humorous interactions as they explore what it means to be a family.
Cast and Creative Team
The voice cast includes Hika Tsukishiro as Alma, Ryōta Suzuki as Enji Kamisato, and M.A.O as Suzume Yobane. They are joined by Rika Nagae as Makina and Hinaki Yano as Neon.
The series is directed by Yasuhiro Minami ("Gintama," "Turn A Gundam"), with scripts by Yukie Sugawara and character design by Mika Yamamoto. The animation is handled by Flad Studio. About the Manga
The original manga, published on Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype website, consists of three volumes. A sequel, "Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! Z", was released in July 2024 and continues the story with new adventures and character development.
