The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota (Kao ni Denai Kashiwada-san to Kao ni Deru Ōta-kun) has officially confirmed its premiere date: October 4th. The news was announced via a new promotional video from Sony Music, which also revealed the artists behind the show's theme songs. Fans are already buzzing with excitement after the first episode had its world premiere at Anime Expo last July. The anime will be broadcast on various Japanese networks, including Tokyo MX on October 4th, Kansai TV on October 5th, BS11 on October 6th, and AT-X on October 7th.

The Sound of Emotions: Meet the Musical Artists

The anime will feature a memorable soundtrack that perfectly complements its central theme. Hashimero will perform the opening theme, "Hyakumensō" (Funny Faces), while Sangatsu no Phantasia is in charge of the emotional closing theme, "Amanojaku Hero" (Contradiction-Filled Hero). Both artists are well-known in the industry; Sangatsu no Phantasia, for example, previously worked on the ending of A Couple of Cuckoos.

Behind the Scenes: The Talented Team Bringing the Story to Life

The anime is being produced by STUDIO POLON and directed by Tomohiro Kamitani (MIX Season 2, Katana Maidens – Tomoshibi). The scripts are overseen by the legendary Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Prison School, Cowboy Bebop), ensuring a well-constructed and engaging narrative. Naoto Nakamura (A Certain Magical Index II) handles character design and animation direction, while the music is composed by Yukari Hashimoto (WITCH WATCH) and Tetsuya Shitara. This powerhouse team also includes Maho Takahashi for background art, Scott MacDonald (Studio Tulip) as art director, and Yomogiko Murano (Rare Trick) as director of photography.
