The announcement was revealed on the official website and has the approval of author Tōwa, who thanked the support of illustrators Fuuka Kazabana (original illustrations) and Rikizo (manga adaptation), as well as all the readers who contributed to the expansion of this world. The adaptation is based on a story that has already sold over 1.7 million copies, solidifying its position as a success in the isekai genre. Additional details about the cast and creative team behind this new production are expected to be announced soon.

An Engaging Story: Summary of the Light Novel and Manga

The story follows Arihito Atobe, a former corporate employee who dies in a bus accident and is reborn in a fantasy world as a "rearguard." This is a unique adventurer class capable of providing critical support in attack, defense, and healing to their team—which is composed solely of women. What's peculiar is that his presence in the rear increases the affection of his companions towards him. Freed from the pressures of the corporate world, Arihito is eager to start a new life as a Seeker. The original light novel was published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2017 and subsequently by Kadokawa with illustrations by Kazabana. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Rikizo, launched in March 2018 through Comic Walker. Both versions are available in English thanks to Yen Press.
